Indigorgeous
Privacy on this site
In short
- Indigorgeous has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising and no analytics, and it sets no cookies.
- Artwork you open in Augeur or the Open page is read by your own browser. The site does not upload it anywhere.
- Some tools remember things in your browser's storage so your work is still there next time. That storage stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time.
- Pages load fonts from Google, and a video loads from YouTube when you press play, so those requests reach those companies' servers.
Your artwork and files
Augeur and
Open read the file you give them inside your browser. The
site never sends that file to a server. What you export from them — a spec sheet PDF,
an image, an .ink file — is made on your device and saved to your
computer.
Augeur's quote hand-off and the Swatch Book's sample and quote requests open your own email program with a message already addressed to Indigo Ink (order@indigoinkprint.com). Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself, and you attach any file yourself.
Augeur's Help offers “Ask our team” and “Suggest a tutorial”, and its Menu offers “Report a problem”. Each opens your own email program with a message addressed to alex@indigoinkprint.com. Nothing is sent unless you send it. A problem report can carry technical details, shown to you in full before you write the email: the Augeur build, your browser and its platform (in a browser that does not report these separately, its full user-agent string), whether the preview runs on WebGPU or WebGL2, your window size and screen scaling, how many files are open, your units and detail settings, and the notice on screen when you open the report, if there is one, with any file name taken out. Untick “Include technical details” and none of them go. Your file's name and your artwork never do.
An email you send Indigo Ink, including one started from these tools, is handled under Indigo Ink's privacy policy.
What the tools remember on your device
These are kept in your browser's own storage for this site (local storage, session storage and IndexedDB). Unlike a cookie, none of it is sent to the site's server with your requests. It stays in the browser you used, on the device you used.
| Used by | Name | What it holds | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| The whole site | ii-theme |
Whether you chose the light or dark theme. | Until you clear it |
| Swatch Book (also read by Augeur) | swatchbook-board |
Your board: the papers you pinned, the name you gave it, and any stars and roles you added. | Until you clear it |
| Swatch Book | swatchbook-legacy-imported |
The time your favourites from the previous Swatch Book were copied onto your board, so it happens only once. | Until you clear it |
| Augeur | augeur:prefs:v2 |
The last paper and print profile you picked, and whether a panel was open. | Until you clear it |
| Augeur | augeur:spot-map:… |
For each file you have opened, the names of its spot colours and the finish you gave each one, so reopening the file restores your choices. It is labelled with a fingerprint of the file, not the file itself. | Until you clear it |
| Augeur | augeur:floor-dismissed:v1 |
That you dismissed the small-screen notice. | Until you close the tab |
| Augeur | augeur-settings |
Your settings: the unit sizes are shown in, whether percentages measure from the sheet or the panel, how the sheet draws while you fold, and how much detail the preview reads from your artwork. | Until you clear it |
| Augeur | foldforge-coach-done |
That you have seen the folding tips. | Until you clear it |
| Open | indigorgeous-open (IndexedDB) |
A copy of a job file and its name, held only while Open hands it to Augeur. Augeur deletes it as soon as it opens the file. | Moments; longer only if the hand-off never finishes, for example if the tab is closed first |
Share links
A folding link made in Augeur (Export › Folding link)
carries your folds inside the link itself and, when it is small enough, a copy of your
artwork too. A Swatch Book share link carries your board the same way. The
part of the link after the # is not sent to the site's server when someone
opens it, but anyone you give the link to can see what it holds, and wherever you paste it
— an email, a chat — keeps a copy.
Other companies' servers
Loading something from another company's server tells that server what any web request does: your IP address, your browser's type, and which site asked. Once your request reaches them, their privacy policy applies, not this one.
- Google Fonts. Nearly every page loads its typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. See Google Fonts and privacy.
- YouTube. Pages with videos show each video's preview picture from this site's own server. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; the player then loads from www.youtube-nocookie.com, and from then on YouTube's own policy applies to it, including any cookies or storage it uses. See Google's privacy policy.
- Links out. Links to Indigo Ink's main website, its online shop and social networks take you to sites with their own policies.
This site's own servers
Indigorgeous is a set of static files served through Amazon Web Services. It has no accounts and keeps no database of visitors.
Like any web host, Amazon Web Services handles each request (your IP address, the page asked for, the time and your browser type) in order to deliver the page and keep the service running.
Clearing what is stored
Everything in the table above belongs to this site in the browser you used. Clearing this site's data in your browser's settings (usually under privacy, or "cookies and site data") for indigorgeous.madlab.science removes all of it. In a private or incognito window, browsers discard it when the window closes.
Indigo Ink
Indigorgeous is Indigo Ink's specialty-printing showcase. Indigo Ink's main website has its own privacy policy.
